New Record - Alaska High School Girls Pole Vault

Teslin Brannan traveled to Anchorage to compete in the 4th Ice Breaker Meet at the Alaska Dome on March 4th, 2023. Teslin took several jumps at lower heights before setting the bar at 3.20 meters (10’6”). She was able to clear the bar and make 3 close tries at 11 feet.

Another vaulter from the Alaska Pole Vault Club also attended the meet. 7th grader Micah Olsen vaulted and was able to get a new personal record of 10 feet, which ranks him nationally for middle school.

Teslin was able to make the most of the time in Anchorage by going skiing at Alyeska Ski Resort, as well as making a presentation at the Alaska Section of the American Water Resources Association on her 10 years’ study on water quality changes in the Pile Driver Slough.
